I was born and raised in Maryland and am fortunate to have had the opportunity to live all over the U.S in places such as Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City before settling down in Fairfax, Virginia. My parents immigrated from Taiwan to the US in 1971 and they taught me the importance of family, community and work ethic.
Family and community are integral parts of my life. I am incredibly fortunate to be married to my wife, Tanya, who is a pharmacist at Virginia Hospital. Tanya and I are grateful to be raising our daughter, Evelyn, together. We enjoy traveling the world together and exploring new places and cultures. As much as we enjoy traveling, we also value our time at home with our two adopted cats.
Giving back to our community is also a priority for me. I am Chair of the community engagement committee for the Board of Directors of ServiceSource, a national non-profit organization focused on providing resources to members of the disability community and their families. I also serve on the finance committee for the Board of Directors of Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington DC. Atlas is a non-profit organization that brings people together through the arts to expand their reach and strengthen the bonds of our communities.
I consider myself very lucky to be surrounded by amazing family and friends, and to love what I do for work.
